SKAVA COMMERCE COMPONENT LIBRARY

What began as a small request for visual design recommendations for  a proof of concept, quickly turned into a full-blown visual design exploration  and strategic validation of why using Google Material Design was the right direction  for what would eventually become Skava Admin 8.0 or Skava Commerce. My role in this effort was to  lead UX design. As the project scale grew to eventually include 4 other designers and a new creative director,  I continued to manage and own the ever-evolving Skava Commerce Component Library.

Snapshot: The initial visual design survey request from the Product team leadership (L) and my initial deep dive into understanding the key facets of problem (R).

One of the early steps in the process involved the dissection of a proof-of-concept build to extrapolate a more organized information architecture. This artifact was shared with the product and development teams to help facilitate early discussions about navigation.
